Dr. Clair has over 20 years of experience completing evaluations. She has clinical, academic, and didactic training in school psychology and neuropsychology. Her goal is to integrate her knowledge of brain-behavior relationships with assessment to gain insight into how individuals function in their lives. She has 18+ years experience working in schools, as well as neuropsychological training in clinical settings. In addition to her doctoral degree she is a certified school psychologist and a certified brain injury specialist. She values opportunities for multi-modal assessment and integration of information about brain function and development with student’s experiences and consideration for community and public policy.

Ruta Clair
Dr. Clair received postdoctoral training as a neuropsychology fellow at RSM Psychology and Sports Concussion Center of New Jersey(14 months). She has completed neuropsychological evaluations, provided cognitive rehabilitation treatment, psychotherapy, concussion treatment, and baseline assessment for youth sports and adult professional teams. Her doctoral internship was completed at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, where she worked in the Neuropsychology department and cognitive rehabilitation program. She also has 18+ years experience working in public and private schools. Dr. Clair is also an assistant professor in psychology at Cabrini University.
Her area of research is focused on concussion. She examines questions related to quality of life issues and symptoms during concussion recovery in children and adolescents. She also explores concussion knowledge and attitudes in both athletes and non-athletes across academic and community settings. Dr. Clair has had the opportunity to conduct research integrating multiple disciplines such as medicine and psychology.
Her professional interests include neuropsychology across the lifespan, learning and attention disorders, concussion, traumatic brain injury, the impact of emotional symptoms on function, and social development.
